Czech Republic – Diagnosing and preventing musculoskeletal overload
Physical overload is one of the key risk factors in the development of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Diagnosing and preventing physical overload is therefore crucial to keeping workers safe and healthy.
On 18 May, the Czech national focal point hosts an online seminar to look at the issue in detail. It includes discussions on modern methods of MSD overload diagnostics, workplace ergonomics and the use of digital tools in the field.
Participants also receive an introduction to the Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load campaign and the seminar concludes with a presentation on the recognition of Covid-19 as an occupational disease and a discussion on compensation related to occupational diseases and accidents at work.
Around 50-70 people are attending the seminar, which is mainly aimed at occupational inspectors from the Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions.
