Students learn the value of preventing musculoskeletal disorders

With an eye to the next generation of workers, students at the University of Applied Sciences in Tallinn will be introduced to key topics within the field of occupational safety and health. The primary aim is to improve students’ awareness of challenges they may face within the working environment, and how these can be managed responsibly.

They will be presented with an overview of the Labour Inspectorate, and its role in maintaining safe and healthy workplaces. Practical examples will also be provided by recipients of the ‘Good Working Environment’ award, who will share their experience and successful interventions. The prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, central to the current EU-OSHA Healthy Workplaces campaign Lighten the Load, will also be featured. A particular focus will be placed on the importance of ergonomic postures and movements.
