The risks of new forms of work and how to prevent musculoskeletal disorders
Data from the Sixth European Working Conditions Survey in 2015 shows that almost half of European workers suffer from Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Additionally, new ways and types of working may lead to increased risks of workers developing an MSD.
Due to the seriousness and widespread nature of this issue, the Autoridade para as Condições do Trabalho in Portugal is organising two events. On the 28th of April, the Centro Cultural de Congressos de Aveiro hosts an event on musculoskeletal injuries and how to prevent them. On the 29th of April, they host an event on new forms of work and the adjacent professional risks. During both events, organisers explain concepts and direct participants to useful tools and information for their day-to-day work.
These events on 28th and 29th of April are useful for occupational safety and health professionals, particularly those who are interested in the dangers associated with new forms of work or in MSDs.
