Students from Estonia explore OSH within the Healthy Workplaces Campaign

Future professionals should have access to knowledge that safeguards their wellbeing in the workplace from an early stage.

In an upcoming seminar, the Labour Inspectorate of Estonia (Tööinspektsioon), our focal point in the country, is equipping vocational  education students from Tallinn’s Industrial Education Centre with essential resources to ensure that they enjoy a safe and healthy working life.

Part of the upcoming Healthy Workplaces Campaign, ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’, the event will focus on safety within the realm of digital work and will address how to deal with any related issue, including physical and psychosocial risk factors.

The Labour Inspectorate’s role will be presented, along with an overview of work relations and the corresponding legal responses.

Speakers:

  • Kaire Saarep, Director General, Labour Inspectorate of Estonia
  • Silja Soon, Head of the Supervision Dept, Labour Inspectorate of Estonia
  • Piret Kaljula, FoP, Labour Inspectorate, Work environment consultant
  • Johan Pastarus, mental health consultant

This activity, co-funded by EU-OSHA, is supporting the European Year of Skills organised by the European Commission. The Year aims to raise awareness of the importance of skills for employment, competitiveness and growth.
