Cyprus - Campaign closing event focusing on work-related accidents
This event takes place during the European Week for Safety and Health at Work and reflects on the results of the Healthy Workplaces Manage Dangerous Substances campaign. It presents good practice examples that helped Cypriot companies establish healthier and safer working environments.
Speakers discuss the lessons learned from the campaign over the two-year period. They analyse how the occupational safety and health (OSH) situation has changed in Cyprus and encourage companies to keep up their efforts in cultivating a strong risk prevention culture.
Speakers share their knowledge of safely managing industrial gases and stress the importance of personal protective equipment to avoid harmful exposures. They then highlight that the poor management of dangerous substances puts workers at unnecessary risk, which can result in significant costs for businesses.
Finally, speakers present the winners of competitions including the National Good Practice Awards and a poster competition.
