To achieve Healthy Workplaces for all workers of All Ages is a very future oriented challenge and our commitment in order to promote human dignity.

We in EZA are every day confronted with the European dimension of this important issue. This is why we are welcoming very much the initiative of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work and would like to support it. All workers organisations in our network from Lithuania to Portugal are striving to raise consciousness regarding health at work and to train workers’ representatives in order to increase the number ofmore Healthy Workplaces for All Ages.
Mission Statement:
EZA is a network of 71 workers’ organisations from 29 European countries based on Christian social values. Members of EZA are trade unions, educational institutes from workers’ organisations as well as research institutes who deal with workers’ questions. The main objective of EZA’s work is to inform and train workers’ organisations in order to strengthen their capacity. EZA contributes in a valuable and sustainable way to the construction and development of the European Social Model: i.e. social systems are to be strengthened, the financial, economic and employment crises tackled as well as the change and modernisation of the labour market dealt with.
EZA delivers the contents of its educational programme in a three-step approach:
To observe: We request speakers with a background in theoretical research and or practical work to present the situation.
To judge: in accordance with the values of Christian Social Teaching and social ethics. These values, based on the needs of humanity and individual human beings, constitute the foundation of Social Europe.
To act: This step is of vital importance for the effectiveness of the socio-political education of workers who are actively engaged in the leadership of their organisations. It is here where visions, objectives and strategies are designed.
Our campaign pledge:
We intend to inform our network partners about our involvement in the campaign and we will encourage them to take up the campaign’s content and to cooperate with the national focal points of EU-OSHA.
Furthermore we intend to inform about the campaign in particular during our annual kick-off conference on 01st/2nd December 2016 in Marseille. During this conference about 120 participants from various workers’ organisations from up to 28 European countries will gather.
