Mission Statement
The European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH) offers a platform for systematic knowledge-sharing on issues concerning education and training in occupational safety and health. The fundamental aim of ENETOSH is to mainstream safety, health, and wellbeing into education. The assumption is that mainstreaming safety, health, and wellbeing into education will help boost the overall quality of education and prepares the ground for the development of a culture of prevention.
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) have an enormous impact on growth, development and psychosocial wellbeing, with potentially life-long consequences. MSDs also have a high social cost. Within the scope of EU-OSHA's campaign for preventing musculoskeletal disorders (2020-2022), ENETOSHs focus is on what needs to be done to prevent risks to musculoskeletal health in childhood and adolescence and what factors can help to promote physical health from an early age. For this purpose, ENETOSH supports the horizontal transfer between the different policy areas of OSH, occupational health, education and public health and the vertical transfer of already existing good practices at national level to the European and international levels.
ENETOSH is coordinated by the Institute for Work and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).
