Authorized use of cancerogenic and mutagenic substances: safety and health impact on workers
According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer 's estimates, there are over 400 potentially cancerogenic substances and around 4% of the deaths are due to professional exposure in developed countries. In order to safeguard workers 'health these substances should be replaced, nonetheless finding out and testing alternative ones requires long time. That's why the European legislation on chemical substances foresees progressive limitation in the use of dangerous substances and requires for some of them specific authorizations.
The event focuses on the risk from cancerongenic substances for workers, the environment and final users, providing information on the authorization procedure introduced by REACH. Practical cases will be presented.
The event is organized by Unioncamere Emilia- Romagna, in collaboration with Fast, as partners of the Enterprise Europe Network in the framework of the EU Osha campaign on dangerous substances.
Participation is free of charge.Deadline fro registration : June 12 .
