Mission Statement
The Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) represents national medical associations across Europe. We are committed to contributing the medical profession’s point of view to EU institutions and European policymaking through pro-active cooperation on a wide range of health and healthcare-related issues.
Our campaign pledge
The Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME) has a long-standing interest in occupational health and safety, and it pledges to raise awareness among the medical profession of the work-related musculoskeletal disorders. This is crucial to improve the quality of life of individual doctors.

Our employment situation and workplace can have significant influence on our physical and mental health and well-being. This also applies to the medical profession itself. Moreover, the workplace has proven to be an effective environment in which to implement interventions for health promotion and disease prevention. CPME’s activities advocate an integrated approach to occupational health, to ensure that the employment or workplace situation is considered an integral part of maintaining or restoring worker’s health.
