This journalists’ visit to Duslo Šaľa, a.s, a company manufacturing organic and inorganic chemical compounds, is organised to showcase health and safety initiatives organised for the company’s ageing workforce.

In a working environment where hazardous chemicals and high temperatures are common, human error can have serious consequences. Thus, health and safety at work is a primary concern for the company. As the average age of employees is over 45, the company recognises the experiences of older employees, and also acknowledges the increased risks associated to them.

Duslo faces this challenge with several measures, for example they improved employee’s work-life balance by establishing a care centre for workers´ elderly relatives. Employees with caring responsibilities can bring relatives to the centre while they are at work.

This visit is a chance to learn about Duslo’s best practices within the Healthy Workplaces for All Ages campaign through presentations and a hands-on site tour.
