Intergenerational learning seminar, the Octave Programme, returns in 2018 to tackle change management in the digital age
In March of 2018, the Octave Programme is reconvening for the seventh time, drawing on the experiences of all generations to take on the topic of business transformation in the digital era.
The 7th edition of the Octave Program is taking place in Evian Les Bains, France, from March 20 – 22, 2018, where diverse companies and age groups are connecting for a three-day learning seminar focused on change management in the digital era.
The Octave Program is an original idea by Danone, with the support of ENGIE, Orange, Société Générale, Bristol Myers Squibb and any company affected by the issue and open to the approach. The Octave Program stemmed from the vision of making use of all generations in a company.
The name Octave comes from the fact that a company is like a piano, which tends to play on just the two central octaves – the generations aged 30 - 50 years old – while neglecting the lower and higher octaves. Rewriting this standard, partners of the Octave Program all share the same intention of using each generation’s maximum potential to promote varied and broad-reaching collective intelligence.
Each partner company sends 10, 20 or 30 participants, building up a ready-made network of people who to support and bring change once they return to their respective companies.
Sponsored by L'Oréal, AREP, and Accor Hotels, the event also boasts a ‘Wise Committee’, made up of one representative from each partner company, to work, share and disseminate best practices on intergenerational diversity inside companies and organise cross mentoring 2.0.
