Director General
The ageing workforce and the difficulties in several Member States to attract and retain young workers have been key concerns for the construction industry for many years and touch several different aspects of the sector (its image, health and safety, employment issues, etc.).

This campaign will provide us with additional momentum to address such concerns within FIEC, but also within our Social Dialogue committee, in close collaboration with our Social Partner, the EFBWW.

Our aim is to develop pragmatic initiatives/tools that can be of real help for the construction companies that we represent at EU level, from the small family enterprise to the large international group.
Deklaracja misji:
Created in 1905, FIEC represents via its 29 national Member Federations in 26 different countries (28 EU and EFTA and Turkey) construction companies of all sizes (from the large international group to the small family business and craftsmen) carrying out all types of building and civil engineering activities.
Nasza obietnica w ramach kampanii:
We will continue to invite representatives of EU-OSHA to our Social Dialogue meetings, and to regularly disseminate information about the campaign, in order to provide continuous visibility to our members throughout the duration of the campaign.

It is our intention to collect and exchange examples of best practices regarding the way the issue of ''ageing'' is addressed at the national level by our affiliates. In this respect we will encourage our members to submit initiatives for the Good Practice Awards.

Finally, our aim is to identify topics for joint initiatives with our Social Partner, the EFBWW, in the framework of our Social Dialogue.
