SEAT S.A

Mission Statement

We are the only car company in the sector with the full-range capacity to design, develop, manufacture and market cars in Spain. We employ 15,000 professionals at our three production centres and 900 engineers whose goal is to be the driving force behind innovation for the number one industrial investor in R&D in Spain. In-line with our declared commitment to environmental protection, we undertake and base our core activity on sustainability, namely reduction of CO2 emissions, energy efficiency, as well as recycling and re-use of resources.

Our campaign pledge

As an Official Campaign Partner of the Healthy Workplaces Campaign, we intend to contribute through academic collaboration, as well as providing our already established spaces, to accommodate possible events. Part of those academic contributions are aimed at how we use technology and advanced technologies and methods to better automate our work lines and make them safer, as well as to how we use our Biometric Labs for investigation of human muscular and skeletal movement when engaging in work related tasks. This as well as the extensive data collection that we engage in, in order to ensure the quality of our services, allows us to have a representative population on issues regarding health, mental health and work-life balance. We take into consideration both the benefits of our interventions and their risks, therefore allowing for a balanced view that could contribute towards raising awareness, providing practical resources and bringing stakeholders together on a prevalent and fast evolving ecosystem. We believe that our contributions can have a large impact, as a well-established company in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as in Europe.

AT SEAT, S.A. we are aware of the importance that technology plays in ensuring quality and expertise when providing workers with healthy and safe workplaces. We have spent years developing projects that allow us to continue taking care of people and creating increasingly safe and healthy environments for all Volkswagen Group employees in the Iberian Peninsula. We believe that with new strides in technology, such as better monitoring through big data, automation of repetitive tasks, implementation of AI powered tools and allowing for better accessibility to our services by making use of digital networks, we will reach new heights, making us ever more competent and complete as an organization.
