Slovenia – Tackling work-related musculoskeletal disorders with preventive measures

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) can affect every worker in any sector. From prolonged sitting in desk-based jobs, to lifting or moving heavy loads, employers should implement preventative measures to protect workers and keep them safe and healthy.

To highlight the scope and impact of such measures, the Slovenian Focal Point is organising a seminar on the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in relation to work. In total, 22 medical experts discuss how employers can prevent workers from developing MSDs such as pains in the neck, back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, thumb, hip, knee, ankle and heel, in addition to common problems such as fibromyalgia and inflammatory rheumatic disorders.

The event takes place online, streamed live from the Congress Centre Brdo in Kranj.
