Using Key Indicator Methods (KIM) to assess the risks of physical workloads
At many workplaces, physical hazards are still an everyday occurrence. They are considered a risk factor for work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) that represent one of the most frequent causes of work-related incapacity to workers in Europe.
The German focal point is organising a webinar on 6 October to discuss the risks related to physical workloads and introduce participants to risk assessment using the Key Indicator Methods (KIM), which (1) has passed a comprehensive examination of quality criteria, (2) has been tested in several companies and (3) is now approved for use in practice. Participants also learn about the MEGAPHYS project (multilevel risk assessment of physical workload).
Taking place online with some 150 attendees, the webinar is of particular interest for health and safety professionals, labour inspectors and representatives of work councils.
