How to work safely and healthily at home

Two-thirds of EU workplaces (with 10 or more employees) had to make major or moderate organisational changes in response to the pandemic, and almost 90% had to adjust the physical infrastructure on site, according to an online survey of EU companies conducted by Eurofound in November 2020. One of the most striking changes was the move to teleworking. This way of working certainly helps to control the spread of infections, but on the other hand physical inactivity and long periods of continuous sitting increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and other health problems such as diabetes and obesity. In addition, working in isolation and blurred boundaries between work and private life have a negative impact on the mental health of homeworkers.

The Slovenian focal point holds an online seminar on 8 September to discuss the topic in depth, and in particular to present how to decrease risks associated with working from home.
