‘Everybody Wins’: Bridgestone EMIA initiative highlights importance of physical and mental health at work
Official partner of the Healthy Workplaces campaign, Bridgestone EMIA, launched an ‘Everybody Wins’ initiative, to promote good physical and mental health at work.

‘Everybody Wins’ has been targeted to Bridgestone’s EMEA employees since last year, and has been supported and shaped by Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load campaign materials. As part of the initiative, Bridgestone held a Physical Health Activity Week on 7-11 November 2022. They connected this topic with ergonomics and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). During this week, a presentation was given on the connection between resilience and physical wellbeing. The importance of physical exercise was stressed at the beginning of the day, as well as keeping a good posture, passing on essential tips and tricks.
To keep workers motivated, each time they are involved in group exercise activities they win points, which will be translated into charitable donations at the end of the campaign.
There was also a session fully dedicated to ergonomics. Multilingual material from three priority areas of the Healthy Workplaces campaign – telework, sedentary work and psychosocial risks – was used to prepare presentations. There were more than 400 online participants, in addition to those who joined from different locations.
Besides events, an internal website ‘B-connected’, provides staff and retailers with a wide range of material on topics such as good posture and managing MSDs. Among different sections, one allows workers to share examples of good practice, while another outlines ergonomics risk assessment processes.
