European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH)

Mission Statement

The European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH) provides a platform for the systematic exchange of knowledge and experience on OSH education and training issues. The fundamental goal of ENETOSH is to integrate safety, health and well-being into education and the education sector. Incorporating safety, health and well-being into education contributes to improving the quality of education and is fundamental to developing a culture of prevention.
An increasingly accelerating and disruptive digitalisation, along with the shortage of teaching staff, is the biggest challenge the education system has faced so far in its history. This affects both the media used for teaching and learning, the way teaching and learning are carried out, the competences of learners and teachers, and the relationship between teachers and learners, as well as the management of educational institutions.
In the process of the digital transformation of education, occupational health and safety is of outstanding importance. Only if the digital transformation contributes to the health and safety of learners and teachers will it also contribute to the quality of education. In addition, occupational safety and health has a watchdog function over the social, ecological and economic sustainability of this process.
As part of EU-OSHA's campaign on safe and health work in the digital age 2023-2025, ENETOSH is focusing on the impact of digitalisation in education and the education sector.
ENETOSH is coordinated by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).

Our campaign pledge

ENETOSH will support EU-OSHAs campaign on safe and healthy work in the digital age 2023-2025 to raise the awareness for the effects of the digitalisation on physical and mental health in the education sector. The focus hereby will be on the impact of digitalisation on the health and safety of teachers.
