’Towards a global strategy to improve musculoskeletal health’ report now available in 7 languages
For many years now, the official partner of the “Healthy Workplaces: Lighten the Load 2020-22” campaign, the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health (G-MUSC), has been raising awareness about the need for a strategic global response to the health and socio-economic struggles related to the musculoskeletal health impairments.

Following this call, in 2021, the G-MUSC published a report entitled “Towards A Global Strategy To Improve Musculoskeletal Health”. Originally released in English, the report has now been translated into several additional languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Hindi, and Swahili.
The publication features a roadmap dedicated to national and international health systems, focusing on what can be done and how to improve musculoskeletal health as well as rheumatic diseases within different environments and contexts. This blueprint was co-developed and supported by the global musculoskeletal health community and other multi-sectoral stakeholder groups, comprised of organizations and individuals with lived experience.
Indeed, the roadmap as well as the Healthy Workplaces Campaign can be both seen as parts of the larger global efforts aiming to establish an adequate preventive culture and management of musculoskeletal disorders, detrimental to the overall wellbeing of individuals as well as the stability of national economies and healthcare systems.
