Chronic pain and workplace integration and adaptation
The reintegration of workers suffering from chronic pain back into the workforce is good for workers, employers, and society as a whole. However, more needs to be done to support the process and ensure reasonable, flexible work adjustments for workers.

Official Campaign Partner, the Societal Impact of Pain (SIP), published its position paper on the subject in June, and on 28 October, during the European Week for Safety and Health at Work and in the framework of the Healthy Workplaces ‘Lighten the Load’ campaign, holds a virtual event to discuss the paper’s recommendations in more detail.
The event comes in response to the European Institutions’ commitment to the implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights' Action Plan, the EU Health and Safety Strategic Framework 2021-2027, and the EU Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030.
The online event will be hosted by MEP Alex Agius Saliba (S&D, Malta) and MEP Radka Maxová (S&D, Czech Republic).
