Workplace design, ergonomics and gender

The Slovenian Focal Point is organising an online seminar Workplace Design, Ergonomics and Gender taking place on Wednesday, 18 May 2022, from 13:00 to 15:15

Gender must also be taken into account in occupational safety and health. More attention has to be paid to gender differences in the workplace. Work and personal protective equipment has to take into account the size and shape of women's bodies. Work organisation should take into account women's different roles in society.

The webinar therefore provides participants with information on gender-related musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics in the workplace in the context of gender, work organisation and work-life balance. The aim of the seminar is to draw attention to the fact that women work in activities and workplaces where they are more often exposed to a combination of physical, psychosocial and organisational risks, which can result in musculoskeletal disorders.
