The poster is part of a series of posters depicting myths, in a humorous way, myths regarding dangerous substances and explaining the truth. This poster is about personal protective equipment, namely safety gloves. The truth: gloves are very different — each type of work has a glove that is most appropriate for hand and skin protection. Before you start working, you should check the labelling of the gloves and make sure that they meet the specific demands of your work! The poster depicts a worker who is suprised to see that the gloves he is using have melted off his hands. The gloves are stained with the purple liquid that is in a barrel behind him bearing hazard signs. The occupational safety and health (OSH) expert is carrying a pair of appropriate gloves for him.
