Greece - Information and Awareness raising of the Healthy Workplaces for All Ages campaign

Hotel Mediterranean PalaceThessaloniki Greece
22/06/2017

This event raises awareness of the Healthy Workplaces for All Ages campaign and discusses ways of managing an ageing workforce.

The event kicks off by introducing the most important issues relating to safety and health at work, and by explaining the economic costs for a company that can result from bad practices. Speakers highlight policy tools, as well as the new OiRA tools developed in Greece which provide practical help for micro and small enterprises. They also discuss OSH challenges from a medical perspective, looking for example at the most common musculoskeletal disorders and the bi-directional relationship between mental health and work. All discussions take into consideration the impact of demographic change.

Speakers finally reflect on the main highlights of ESENER-2, the Second European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks that aims to provide nationally comparable data to help in policy making, and to assist workplaces in dealing with risks more effectively.
