Estonia - Adapting work to individual needs by considering age and gender
This seminar focuses on the gender and age of employees and on how employers can adapt workplaces according to individual needs.
When designing the workplace and organising work, employers should take physical, mental, gender and age-specific considerations of employees into account.
Speakers discuss the way employees’ ability to work changes throughout the day, or during shifts, and how they are affected by working for long periods on their own. The regulation of breaks and lengths of working days is key and depending on individual mental and physical abilities, the length and frequency of resting time needed can vary.
Speakers also present examples of work-related health problems, compulsory health controls, along with legal cases between employers and employees.
