Poland - Visit to pharmaceutical plant to exchange good practices
This visit to the pharmaceutical plant Polpharma S.A., part of the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, focuses on chemical substances and their presence in workplaces in Poland and provides a real-life example of a large manufacturer of pharmaceuticals. It aims to raise awareness of the impact that chemical substances can have on our health and organisers share ways to eliminate harmful exposures.
Speakers give a first-hand perspective on the company’s protective measures and the equipment they use to manage dangerous chemicals. They share good practice examples of protection measures that every worker can use, and give tips on how to safely transport and store chemicals. Providing practical advice, they show how first aid can be used in cases of contamination in the workplace.
After the plant visit, the day wraps up with an exhibition of the security equipment used by various companies.
