Managing psychosocial risks

The phrase ‘health and safety’ is most commonly associated with physical hazards only. Psychological occupational ill-health is rarely given its required attention.

Preventing psychological harm is an essential part of creating a safe and healthy workplace, and is the latest focus of the EU-OSHA Healthy Workplaces campaign. With this in mind, our Maltese focal point, in collaboration with EU-OSHA and the Richmond Foundation, will be recording a webinar entitled ‘Managing Psychosocial Risks’.

The first presentation provides an overview of what psychosocial risks are, and how far employers are familiar with them. The second considers the organisational factors that play a significant role, and the third presentation takes viewers through the necessary steps to prepare for psychosocial risk factor management.
