Keeping active while working from home

For many workers, working from home has increased their exposure to sedentary work, which could cause or aggravate musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). It is important to move on a regular basis while remote working, since staying active lessens the risk of developing an MSD.

To focus on the issue of physical activity while working from home, the Czech focal point is organising an event on 14 June. Speakers evaluate elements of physical activity, before focusing on how to eliminate physiological stress when remote working. They also share practical experience of preventing MSDs within occupational settings. Finally, the event provides an overview of EU-OSHA’s 2020-2022 campaign, Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load.

The event provides useful information for any professionals working in the OSH sector with an interest in tackling musculoskeletal conditions.
