Effective preventive measures in workplace ergonomics
Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are a significant occupational safety and health issue, affecting as many as three in five workers in the European Union. As such, the topic of workplace ergonomics is crucial in any business, and workers and employers should work together to prevent the development or aggravation of MSDs.
To examine the issue in more depth, the Latvian focal point is organising an event on the topic of preventive measures in workplace ergonomics. The event begins with an assessment of the impact of employer measures on pain and anxiety using data sourced during the Covid-19 pandemic. Speakers then discuss the scope of preventive measures, before sharing good practice examples that can be applied to most workplaces.
The event is highly relevant for OSH experts, HR managers, quality managers, internal communications specialists, and anyone who wishes to learn more about how to make a workplace safer, healthier, and more ergonomic.
