Mission Statement
The mission of the Occupational Medicine Section is to promote the development of the speciality of Occupational Medicine in Europe with the aim to improve the health of the workers.
This would be achieved by:
- supporting and defending the role of occupational medicine in society with the aim to promote the health of workers
- influencing EU legislators
- collaborating with appropriate institutions
- ensuring the quality of training and professional practice, and identifying and taking action on common issues

Our campaign pledge
The UEMS Occupational Medicine Section will deliver the Campaign's messages to the occupational medicine specialist doctors around Europe. The national associations will be informed how they can support the national campaign activities by their medical expertise.

Occupational medicine specialist doctors are here to promote workers and employers in creating workplaces that prevent musculoskeletal disorders. Occupational health services can identify the risks and propose activities to reduce musculoskeletal disorders and advise in return-to-work processes.
