IMA-Europe is pleased to be an official partner to the Healthy Workplaces Manage Dangerous Substances Campaign. Worker’s health and safety has always been at the core of the Association’s activities. Industrial Minerals Employers are dedicated to good management of health and safety risks at the workplace of which a proper risk assessment is a fundamental step. We are particularly active in the field of workplace dust management and participate in an ambitious industry dust monitoring program since 2000. We will contribute to the campaign by spreading the campaign’s materials and exchanging good practices’ experiences, particularly among SMEs.
Mission Statement:
IMA-Europe provides sector-based representation for industrial minerals. The Association is particularly focused on representation at European Union (EU) institutional level and coordinates contacts with national and international authorities.

IMA Europe is involved in all non-commercial issues related to the properties and safe use of minerals, from their extraction and processing through to their end-use applications. Health and safety at the workplace, environmental protection, product safety and awareness about the importance of industrial minerals for society are at the core of IMA Europe’s priorities.

IMA-Europe ensures that the industrial minerals industry at large benefits from the sharing of non-sensitive information and plays a supporting role in the promotion of best practices
Our campaign pledge:
IMA-Europe is committed to raise awareness of the importance of preventing risks from dangerous substances, and to support effective and systematic risk assessment which is the very important first step of any good risk management approach. Through our membership, we intend to raise awareness of this issue at a national level and at a company level, including and, very importantly, at SME level as well.
