President
A healthy work environment allows to consider in a holistic way the health of workers and employees on all levels: physical, spiritual, environmental, intellectual, emotional, mental and professional. The professional risk prevention measures required must be taken and information about risks must be provided to each person in any working place.
Promoting a healthy workplace is very important and must have an impact on working conditions that influence the health and well being of workers. It is everyone's responsibility. Let us not forget also the importance of a teamwork that will lead to the best results in safety and wellbeing in workplaces.
Mission Statement:
To enhance patient care;
To promote health and safety in the Operating Department for patients and staff;
To provide educational forums and platforms for members;
To standardize the education throughout Europe and member associations;
To be the voice of Perioperative nursing in Europe and the wider international field;
To promote the perioperative nurse and the role.
Our campaign pledge:
EORNA Plan is to promote this issue throughout its 28 member associations and through information sharing at Board meetings. EORNA will keep this topic high throughout the life of this campaign and encourage all members to do so in their national associations. We shall make every effort to enhance the culture of working together for risk prevention and safety in the best interest of the patient and healthcare professionals.
