Teleworking during the COVID-19 pandemic: risks and prevention strategies

This short report describes the main drivers of teleworking and the associated occupational safety and health (OSH) risks, benefits and challenges arising for workers and organisations during the pandemic. It highlights the importance of workstation risk assessments to protect teleworkers’ physical health and the potential psychosocial risks affecting them. It also discusses the European regulations governing teleworking, including the right to disconnect.

The report contains examples of good OSH practices adopted by companies in Europe to support teleworkers during the pandemic.
