Italy - Campaign closing event highlighting good practices to effectively manage dangerous substances

Palace HotelMateraItaly

This campaign closing event discusses the initiatives organised in Italy in the framework of the Healthy Workplaces Manage Dangerous Substances campaign over the last two years.

The event kicks-off by highlighting the 25-year anniversary of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, marking an important milestone of working together for safe and healthy working conditions throughout Europe.

Speakers, including EU-OSHA’s head of communication and promotion Andrew Smith, then present the highlights of the two-year campaign at national level and share good practices from public and private organisations that establish effective ways of managing hazardous substances in the workplace. They showcase a wide range of good practices, including practices related to training and communication measures, ways to substitute dangerous chemicals, and structured risk assessment methodologies. Speakers also highlight good practices relating to the implementation of technological safety systems to monitor industrial activities.

The event concludes with the Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Awards ceremony that acknowledges the successful measures that organisations have implemented to reduce risks related to dangerous substances and establish a culture of risk prevention in Italy and beyond.
