Identify and eliminate MSD risks: best practice advice from across Europe

It is important that labour inspectors have a thorough and up-to-date understanding of good work-safety practices and the best techniques for preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).

With this in mind, the Bulgarian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy is organising a seminar on 7 March. During the event, labour inspectors discuss good practice information that has been shared by EU-OSHA during the Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load campaign and look at specific examples from Poland and Belgium. The training covers the measures that need to be taken to prevent risks that can lead to MSDs. Attendees acquire practical knowledge and skills, which will help them to be more effective and efficient during their inspections. They also learn how best to provide stakeholders with more information during their inspections.

The event is an all-day training specifically for labour inspectors, taking place both online and in-person in Sofia.

Speakers:

  • Alexander Borisov, Chief Inspector General Directorate at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy
  • Tsvetomila Filipova, Head of the General Directorate at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy
  • Dina Hristova-Ignatova, Head of the Public Relations Department, Administrative Services and Information Technologies Directorate at the Bulgarian General Labour Inspectorate
