Our campaign pledge

Our Motto for Technology and Innovation is to “continue to advance innovative technologies with a strong commitment to supporting global communities”.
With this in mind, we are evolving into a sustainable solutions company, exploring new businesses and opportunities, by leveraging our current expertise in tyres and rubber. This varies from sensor technology that monitors tyres and road surface conditions, aimed to ensure a safe driving experience, to soft robotics to support mobility and the movement of people and objects.
At the same time we are experiencing enormous changes in the way we work, connected with the digital age. From Smart Working to the integration of digital and physical experience (Phygital), increasing use of collaborative robots, wearable devices and automation in our manufacturing plants. All, offering great opportunities to accelerate our roadmap towards a strong safety culture across all our businesses.

When it comes to the Health & Safety of our workers the digital technologies can offer huge opportunities however emerging challenges must be properly managed. We need to build new capabilities and assess, the potential risks in the interaction human – machine/technology in all the areas, including psychosocial implications.
In this sense, the Campaign on Health and Safety in the digital age and the partnership with EU-OSHA is KEY to effectively increase the awareness and develop the appropriate capabilities to be successful in this challenging business environment.
