Raising awareness of MSDs among teachers and students in vocational training

Raising awareness of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among students is key to ensuring safe and healthy habits that favour the physical and mental wellbeing of the future working population.

In support of this, the Spanish focal point together with EU-OSHA and the Spanish Network for Safety and Health at Work (RESST) is organising an online workshop aimed at teachers and students in vocational education and training (VET). The workshop aims to reinforce the importance of good postural habits and includes presentations by students, teachers and OSH experts as well as the screening of videos created by VET students to raise awareness of MSDs.

The event takes place online with some 150 VET teachers and students and is chaired by Santi Cid, a journalist on Spanish national TV (Antena 3).

Speakers:

  • Belén Pérez Aznar, National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST)
  • José Miguel Muñoz Bellido, Occupational Health and Safety Institute of Castilla y León
  • Mercedes Tejedor, National Institute for Safety and Health at Work (INSST)
  • Paloma de Paz Viciana, IES Virgen de la Paloma
