Latvia – How to win a ‘Golden Helmet’ good practice award
The ‘Golden Helmet’ award is given by the State Labour Inspectorate to Latvian companies that have gone the extra mile to ensure that their workplaces are safe and healthy environments for workers. Not only is it a prestigious title to win, demonstrating the business’ commitment to good practices, but the winners will also go on to represent Latvia at European level for the Healthy Workplaces Good Practice Award, within the frame of the Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load campaign. So, what makes an award-winning application?
To find out, the Latvian focal point is organising an online session, entitled “Golden Helmet: Three Steps to Win the Contest” on 28 April. The event provides an overview of the Golden Helmet application process, including a panel discussion involving two members of the award jury themselves. Afterwards, two previous winners of the award share tips on preparing a high-quality application and discuss reasons to participate, which examples to select in the application, and how to gain management support.
The webinar is a practical and useful guide to the awards, and promises to be interesting for OSH experts, HR managers, quality control managers and internal communication professionals from companies that may wish to apply for the awards.
