Our campaign pledge
COTANCE is committed to support the 'Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load 2020-22' campaign. We will convey the messages of the campaign to our members and raise awareness on the risks of MSDs across the leather value chain. European tanners are committed to healthy workplaces and COTANCE will take advantage of the EU-OSHA campaign for spreading good practices regarding MSDs.

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are painful health conditions which can be prevented. A preventative strategy addressing work-related MSDs is of direct interest in our industry, as lifting heavy loads is inevitable in a large part of Europe’s tanneries.
In the European Leather industry, health & safety at work and the well-being of tannery workers are top priorities consecrated in the Roadmap to 2025 agreed with our Social Partners. EU-OSHA Campaigns facilitate our work to spread good practices to the sector’s employers and workers across Europe.
